Caleb's Washington Birthday Party!

Here was the not so happy about wearing this hat birthday boy.
Caleb thinking he was going to get in on some bottle from his friend Jeanette at the party. Yeah right kiddo you haven't had one of those in a few months now!
Nathan's grandparents came up from Renton to celebrate with us!
Joyce,  Jeanette, Aunt Mercedes, Grandma Sudene and Grandpa Tom relaxing.
Grandma Penny giving driving lessons.
Onos and Kayette also came up from Auburn to celebrate Caleb's big day!
Starting to get into the duck cake.
He was a little cautious at first.
Caleb made sure we all applauded him after every kiss he gave the ducky.
Once he tasted the frosting it was over...he dove right in!

Then he disected the poor thing... It was too funny to watch him progress from barely touching the cake to making this mess!
Hi everyone look at messy me!

Playing with his bud Jeanette after his bath from eating cake.
Opening presents. One of Caleb'e favortie things is books and he got lots of new ones to last us the summer!

Playing alphabet games on the fridge.
Sharing...or taking the music making part from Jeanette.
Thank you everyone for coming to and making Caleb's party a blast! We will cherish the memories forever! It was great to celebrate Caleb's first birthday with family and friends! We can't believe we have already shared one amazing year with him!

In Washington

So far we have loved being in Washington. After the issues of our apartment we had all ready set up not being ready for us when we got here we had to go apartment shopping right after we got here. We were blessed to find a great apartment in a great location that would do a summer lease for us. It's a little more expensive than we wanted to pay, but all worth it. We ended up moving to Bothell almost Woodinville, and are loving it here! We have had some great times already and are realizing how quick summer is going to go! Here are just a few pics.

Lauren loving on Caleb while she's "beating down" Nathan at Wii.
Caleb got pretty into the game as well.
Giving Auntie Angi some snuggles.

Hallie Mattea is on her way!

Just before leaving Utah (litterally the day before) we were able to find out that our next little one is  a GIRL! We are supper excited and I (Krystal) Can't wait to go shopping for her! Here are a few cools pics the ultrasound tech was able to get us. We have only 28 pics so if you want to see more just let me know! :) As of yesterday we have decided that we want to name her Hallie Mattea Snyder. Let us know what you think about it!

This is kinda a weird one...it shows both legs and arms though so it's kinda cool.
A cute little profile shot.
I guess that stark white line means its a girl! I was pretty sure of this already, seeing as this pregnancy has been so different from when I was pregnant with Caleb!
Her foot looks a little backwards here, but the tech wanted to get a full profile shot of her with her legs and arms and face. So here she is! Isn't she a beauty!

A 3D image of her. She had her hands up by her face almost the whole time or we may have been able to get a better shot of just her face... Oh well we will see it soon!
We were very happy to know everything looked great from this ultrasound! I was only 14 weeks when this ultrasound was done and we will probably have another one in about a month or so when I am more like 22 weeks. We can't wait to see her again!

The boys' birthday in Utah!

The boys thinking about opening their presents. Caleb loves ripping paper, so we thought he would really enjoy opening presents for his birthday, but he wasn't super into it... oh well; he liked what was inside.
Kind of a blown out picture, but I think it's cute of the birthday boys.
Caleb eating ice cream cake. We thought he would dig into the whole cake but he just wasn't interested after reaching out and touching the burning candle. Good thing we had a successful mess in Washington.
I think this was actually a happy face...
Getting a little into tearing the presents
This was his favorite part: when he got one small piece of paper off that he could play with.
The boys with their presents. It took Caleb the whole time it took Nathan to open his few presents to open just one.
Hammering set... He thought the handle worked best for hammering.

Moved out of Wymount!

We finally came to the point in our lives when we had the blessed opportunity to finally move out of Wymount. For those who don't know, Wymount is BYU's family housing. It is great for so many things: price, social network, and again price... but we were so ready to move out of what we had come to know as our cinder block prison. May 2nd was our last night in the apartment and then it was off to WA!
Here are a few cute pics of Caleb helping out with the cleaning in the apartment. One of his favorite things to do these days is "wipe wipe wipe" with anything that even remotely looks or feels like a wipe/paper towel. We decided to use his handy skills and sent him on the mission of cleaning off the ever dusty TV stand. He actually volunteered himself  by steeling the paper towel and climbing under the stand.

Oh, the cleaning sucked... but it was so nice to be done with it. We received our move out statement a few days ago and we were only charged $15 for them to re-clean the cabinet cupboards. The one thing I didn't want to do and was expecting a fee from. We got so lucky to not be charged anything else. We have heard they sure are sticklers in the summer for cleaning, so either Caleb did a really good job or we had blind inspectors. Either way we were thankful!

The Haircut!

So as I posted earlier, Caleb has been growing a mullet lately. He finally got his first big boy haircut. He did really well overall and it turned out to be a good experience. We buckled him into his booster seat and turned on a special animal movie daddy picked up for him earlier in the day. Caleb doesn't get to watch much T.V. so when there was a show that was aimed towards him he was pretty into it! I guess it's a way to distract him for times like these.
At times the clippers seemed to tickle Caleb and he made this funny little face.
The majority of the time this is what he was doing- staring at the T.V. He is such a good boy!

When I started wetting his hair he decided he needed a drink from it and opened his mouth for me to squirt some in. It was too funny... he did this every time I tried to spray his head.
This was the final product. Still long enough to spike, but no more curls! :(
A view from the back

Check out this hairy back. We cut off a lot of hair!

Vacuuming off Caleb. He thought this was pretty interesting!

He especially loved when we did his face. Normally when I vacuum he chases me around the house until I take the wand out and get him with it. This time it was a little different though because he couldn't escape!
Overall, I would say this first major haircut (he's had a few trims before) went pretty smoothly! Caleb was great and we had some fun doing it! Next time I think we will keep it just a tad longer though!
