The Haircut!

So as I posted earlier, Caleb has been growing a mullet lately. He finally got his first big boy haircut. He did really well overall and it turned out to be a good experience. We buckled him into his booster seat and turned on a special animal movie daddy picked up for him earlier in the day. Caleb doesn't get to watch much T.V. so when there was a show that was aimed towards him he was pretty into it! I guess it's a way to distract him for times like these.
At times the clippers seemed to tickle Caleb and he made this funny little face.
The majority of the time this is what he was doing- staring at the T.V. He is such a good boy!

When I started wetting his hair he decided he needed a drink from it and opened his mouth for me to squirt some in. It was too funny... he did this every time I tried to spray his head.
This was the final product. Still long enough to spike, but no more curls! :(
A view from the back

Check out this hairy back. We cut off a lot of hair!

Vacuuming off Caleb. He thought this was pretty interesting!

He especially loved when we did his face. Normally when I vacuum he chases me around the house until I take the wand out and get him with it. This time it was a little different though because he couldn't escape!
Overall, I would say this first major haircut (he's had a few trims before) went pretty smoothly! Caleb was great and we had some fun doing it! Next time I think we will keep it just a tad longer though!

Visit from Aunt Theressa

I forgot to put these pictures up. Theressa came to visit us conference weekend and we had tons of fun! Caleb loved seeing his auntie and we enjoyed her company just as much!

Posing in his stylish outfit
Theressa bought this little hippo for him and he LOVES It! he always is trying to eat it and give it kisses. He made sure to show off how much he loved it when Aunt Theressa was here!

Thanks for coming Tess, we had so much fun with you! Come again soon!

Bath time

Caleb loves his bath time, especially if there are bubbles in it. He loves picking up as many bubbles as he can and trying to eat them. Of course we don't encourage eating soap, but it is funny to see his reaction occasionally when he does eat a few. He also likes to search through the bubbles for his toys that sink to the bottom of the tub.
These ice cubes he is holding used to go in our drinks until he found them and decided they worked better as bath toys for him. He is obsessed with them and gets mad if I don't dump them out when he gets in the bath.

Caleb has been attempting to let himself out of the bathtub... ESPECIALLY when he knows it's getting time to rinse his hair!
Silly boy... you still have soap in your hair!

Mornings around here

Unlike mommy, Caleb is definitely a morning person! This is where I find him every morning just minutes of getting him out of bed. I guess we know what is important to him and he knows where to find it! :)

p.s. The whiskey box is full of Caleb's favorite applesauce courtesy of Bob and Jeanette Rostrom. (non-alcoholic)
Caleb is so funny in the morning! He does all kinds of weird things and finds joy in the simplest adventures. I should learn a few lessons from him on how to handle the morning. (This is Krystal posting by the way....Nathan is also a morning person...ugh)

Curls

Check out these cute curls Caleb has been growing the last few months. It basically is turing into an afro... so as cute as they are, they will be cut off for now... :(

Proof that these curls didn't come from daddy!
